Two-Year Program in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

The CCP two-year program provides a course of study in psychoanalytic theory and therapy for interested individuals – both clinicians and theorists -- who would like to deepen their knowledge of the field.

Directed by Nancy Burke, PhD and Kaveh Zamanian, PhD, the program has two tracks: a clinical track and an academic track for those who wish to strengthen their backgrounds in psychoanalytic theory but who are not practicing clinicians. Students in the academic track will follow the same program as students in the clinical track, although their focus will be determined through discussion with their individual consultants.

The academic year will be divided in three 11-week periods.

Most classes for the Chicago program will be held on Monday evenings from 7-9pm. Occasionally, classes will be held on Sunday afternoons. Classes will be held in downtown Chicago or Evanston, Illinois.

Students enrolled in the Louisville, Kentucky program will meet at:
6520 Glenridge Park Place, Suite #1
Loiusville, Kentucky

Financial Assistance

CCP believes that cost should not be a prohibiting factor in obtaining psychoanalytically-oriented training. For this reason, limited scholarship opportunities are available for those who have an interest in participating in CCP’s two-year certificate program but do not have the resources to do so. For further information regarding financial assistance, please contact Nancy Burke, Director of Two-year Certificate Program in Chicago (nburke@ccpsa.org) or Kaveh Zamamian, Director of the Two-year Certificate Program in Louisville, KY (kzamanian@ccpsa.org).
